RE HD trackbar

RubiconExpress' HD trackbar
& frame bracket

By Scott Vallier

Starting the install...

First remove the top bolts of the track bar bracket 18mm.

Remove the lower bottom bolts of the track bar bracket. They are 18mm with a capture on them.

Remove the track bar bolt at the axle area. It’s a 15mm bolt with a capture nut. You don’t have to remove the top track bar bolt if you are installing the drop bracket and track bar. It comes off in one piece.

Once all is removed, place the RE new design drop bracket in place of the stock one. Place the bottom bolt on first and snug them finger tight. This will insure that the top bolt holes will line up correctly.

Once bottom ones are snug then install the top ones. This is where RE redesigned it to fit all bolt patterns for the XJ/ZJ.

Install the track bar to the drop bracket. Then adjust the track bar to fit the Lower bolt area. We had a problem with the stock bolt working since it has been taking on and off a lot. The threads were messed up and we replaced it with another bolt.

There is the finished product!

Then add the drop pitman arm by removing the bolt with a pitman arm puller. Straighten up the steering wheel and there you have it.

SPECIAL NOTE: The RE track bar and drop bracket helps a lot with Death Wobble and helps with the over all steering system to work better with added lifts. I personally think very highly of this product and has been working great for me. I recommend this product for any XJ/ZJ that is lifted over 3”. The product itself, is made very strong and seems it will last past the life of the Jeep.

Special thanks to Dirk from www.dpgoffroad.com and Justin from Rubicon Express.
