We have a dealer in Canukistan that charges close to $300/hr and $3.50/km for the service trucks. It's not unheard of to have a $2000 TT&M bill before you even get to the machine diagnotics and repair.
To be fair, these are the more 'remote' locations where it's a resident tech who may not see the inside of their home-dealer for months on end. That type of skill does not come cheap, nor does anything else up there.
Most heavy equipment dealers down here aren't even $150 for the field rates. How car dealerships are pulling that off is insane.
