Sand Hollow/Moab 2021
Just got back from a great trip to Sand Hollow and Moab.
Back in 2019 we booked a week in Sand Hollow because the week we could go was EJS in Moab. So we decided to try Sand Hollow. Well, COVID hit and we had to cancel that trip. The VRBO rental owners allowed us to push the trip out to 2021 and not lose any money on the cancellation, so we decided to do that. We also decided to tack on another 5 days in Moab since we were only 5 hours away, and we'd be after EJS so there'd hopefully be minimal crowds. It ended up being perfect timing. Here's some photos... Sand Hollow: Last edited by Kurt; 04-16-2021 at 11:26 AM. |

Awesome!
Pritchett is a sweet trail. One of my faves as well but I haven’t explored Moab nearly enough and I’ve never been to sand hollow. |

Sand Hollow is on my list, can't believe I've been out that direction so many years and never hit it Just had a buddy out in Moab last week, too. You see a white Gladitor on 40s w/ a Diesel sticker on the hood anywhere Pritchett is baller, easily a fav...we don't run it every year but it's a must at some point on a trip!! Killer pix, glad you were able to still get out and use your 2020 plan - SEE YOU IN CALI

Was he by himself? We took a newbie friend out on Hells Revenge one day, and on the way back we passed a very clean, white Gladiator which looked to be on 40's. Guy was by himself. Looked in my mirror as we were headed further up the trail and it looked like he took the wrong line on something, lifted a tire way up....and its not normally an area where you do that, especially on a long wheel base.

No, he was with other MN tagged Jeeps, including an Inca gold AEV Brute.

Its definitely a fun and challenging trail. Ended up pulling cable 3 times. Axle Hill, Rocker Knocker, and Chewy Hill. Lots of silt on the rocks which made things slippery.
