3.6l Reliability?
Does anybody know how long these 3.6's run for? Looking for a possible toy on Craigslist but hoping that it'll last to be juniors first car as well, in 9 years. I see a lot of Jeeps with 140k+ miles on them locally, just wondering if that's a lot for 3.6 or will they run for 250k like the 4.0 used to?

I've seen a lot of high mileage JKs...our first one was over 115k when we traded for our next one, and ran strong.
They don't rust like the XJs either!

I did find a completely rust free spotless XJ for sale that was tempting. But I think I want something a little newer, and the wife likes the look of Wranglers.
https://toledo.craigslist.org/cto/d/...076001183.html This one is a '13 Rubicon with 150k for $16,xxx. I'm gonna keep looking to see if I can find something that is either already lifted or has bumpers on it, or both for only a few more dollars to save a little in the long run. https://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/c...074123640.html Hoping to get 10 years out of it to give to me kid for a first car. |

I F'n hate XJ prices...even clean ones have rust in the "normal" spots
Quick glance at that Rubi, desirable engine (anything newer than 2012) that's loaded and priced very well...wow. Makes me wonder what might be wrong w/ it...a buddy of mine has a 2012 Sport w/ 110k for $21k. But the tires

Yeah, same here, I assume it has something wrong it as well, it's a good bit cheaper than any of the other ones around here.
The tires would be getting replaced, as well as the bumpers so I can install my old winch on it. |

Right, there are always mods
If that is in your budget, and you're certainly handy enough to handle anything that might possibly be wrong, that's a very hard price to beat!! Pix don't often show body damage well...like small dings, dents, scratches...could be as little as that But, damn, that's a better buy than the XJ, fo sho!

Must be the roof rack jacking up the price!
That Rubicon seems like a great deal, I don't mind little dents and dings, it'll get a lot more banging off trees on the trails around me. |

A clean 92 brought 16.5k on BAT.
Insane.
