Hi everyone,
I'm having trouble with my 87 xj and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. It starts and runs fine until it warms up, then it acts like it doesn't want to take gas. It will still idle fine but when you hit the accelerator it boggs down and starts backfiring thru the throttle body. After it acts up for a few minutes it straighten ups and runs fine for a while. The tps is only about a year old so I'm quessing that's not it. I'm open to any suggestions and any help would be greatly appreciated. stupid queston but did you check you plugs and wires because if they are cracked when they get hot they can expand and make a bigger gap cause probs not common but an easy check

New cap, rotor, wires, and plugs. That was my first line of action, but thanks anyway.
