I feel like I need to make this happen now.
Fly into Vegas for a night and then drive to The Hammers perhaps?

I'll be out there Wednesday later afternoon. It sucks that I'm going to miss most of the Everyman Challenge race. I will be sleeping out of my rental jeep, very minimal on the stuff I'll have as I have to carry all my gear on the plane. Next year, I will be driving out |

I know there is a group of us from the later years in the 4x4 club that are trying to go for 2020.

The views from hiked up into the hills were amazing, could see for miles. and at night, that's not a city, that's only the headlights and campers of HammerTown!
the party one night at Backdoor was pretty good. a few rolled, a few broke, one bouncer who couldn't get thru the ppl and broken **** BLARING "move bitch" on a really good radio. not hundreds, but thousands of ppl. the race was awesome, saw all the chit go down on jackhammer for the 4400 race. also watched the EMC from Chocolate Thunder, but got to back door too late. there was even UTV demos. Polaris, Yami, and Can-Am all had FREE guided tour test drives thru the desert. something about beating on someone else's rig at 60+ was goooood. the can-am was the most smooth, but the RZR i thought was more sporty, while the yami with paddle shifting was kinda chunky. I finally got the info about Paiva and Stinger Motorsport's issues...
They chased fuel system trouble for 3 days. Turns out a guy back in Michigan used anti seize when installing the fuel filters and some of the aluminum made its way into the injectors and messed them up. They finished 28th overall despite no pre-running or qualifying sessions. I can't wait to get out there.
