i got a tj with 2.5l, im re gearin with install of 8.8, i cant get 4.88s for it until like Jan. but i can get 4.56 cheap now, alot cheaper, doin it mainly for highway, then for rock crawlin, i need more power on road and better crawlin on rocks, so would i see much difference between the two? if so would i see it more on road or offroad? please let me know gotta buy tomorrow if i do 4.56!!

Assuming you gots 4.11 gears now, yur not gonna notice much more powerr with 4.56s. 4.88s would give you a good bit more than you have now, and should be decent for highway driving on 33s and the 4popper. Idealy, you'd wanna go to a 5.13 for those tires, but I don't think that's an option for your front Dana 30.
Wait for the 4.88s or it's almost a waste of money to regear. If you still don't like it much, get a 32" tire next tyme around. |
