Default Easter Jeep Safari 2024

Looks like the 2024 EJS Jeeps are released:

My vote goes for the last one, the 392 on 42s, as the coolest of the bunch. I'm not so sure about the use of carbon fiber for this application though, I'd prefer something with a higher fracture toughness.

Here I thought you were going to tell us all you were going w/ your Chevy...

Side note, not going this year, been a long time since I missed one - quite a few peeps that I normally meet there are going elsewhere, or passing as well.

Cool concepts, as always, it's one of the things I always looked forward to seeing.

OlllllllO

I saw the Hurricane 500 Rubicon on YouTube. That looks cool. As much as I loathe the auto trends of the day, the discontinuation of the Hemi and electric cars; I am actually excited about a new I6 platform.

I am also not going this year, unfortunately. I am having FOMO, as I type this from my desk.

I'd like to go one of these years. I'm working on scheduling a trip, hopefully as early as next month, to take the Chevy out on some light duty trails and find out what I need to do so I can push it a bit harder. I want to make sure the basics work first (I have yet to put it in 4wd even...), then I can start figuring out what else I'll want to do before hitting the trails. I think it needs some more protection (rock rails/skids) at minimum, I'd like to do a back half cage maybe even.

It seemed pretty tame this year. Funny enough, a few peeps that never go actually went, and those that always go either didn't go at all, or split the trip up and went in different directions.

I didn't see much of Pat or Tyler's pix that weren't at a bar

I honestly didn't have any FOMO this year, I had a lot of time to process not going...to boot, I spent the week flying out to TX and hauling my dad back to WI anyway, so my brain was well occupied leading up and during it all.

I'm also chomping at the bit to get his Vette up here to get it fixed to sell (I'll drive it, too, of course) and even more than that - I'm pressing to get up to the cabin ASAP!!!

Looked like AEV had a nice run, and a lot of other new groups that I've not seen before - so I did get to see some action out there that looked fun, and nice weather.

Nate, you talk to Petey recently? He's been on the go a lot lately!!!

Rich is going to try to get a nice big Trail Hero sponsored "Take Back Moab" kind of thing going for next year's EJS... camping all together and live musik and what not.
I will definitely be back out next year, and look forward to catching up and running old trails and letting the locals that still like us know we ain't going anywhere!

Robert bought the entire neighboring property and doubled the size of the park, including taking back Lower Helldorado!
