dude, i had commercials ... are you monetized?

also, how did you like the body adhesive vs welding in the floor patch?

Yes I’m monetized. You have to have 1k subscribers to monetize, I’m a little over 2K these days!

The adhesive worked real well, but with the colder temps it took a long time to really cure solid. I think we ended up leaving it like 1.5 days before moving on with the floor. There are purpose made body repair adhesives that would have cured much quicker.

For a vehicle I’m keeping, I’m not sure which I would prefer honestly. It feels like it’s hard to go wrong welding. But the adhesive is fairly quick and easy in comparison, albeit with more cure time where you leave it alone, but if you weld then you have to seam seal over that anyway.

In terms of strength I’m not sure there is really a difference either. The seam sealer has such a large overlap surface area that it gets plenty of strength from that. Sure you could have two weld beads, one top and one bottom at the overlap, but that’s also one point where a weld could rip. In any case, it’s not like that section of floor needs super strength, I mean you won’t see anyone gluing control arm mounts to an axle in the near future.

i worked at a collision shop sweeping floors n washing cars for a summer once, they used the 2-part panel adhesive a lot when replacing the entire side of a car. everything i've seen says it's stronger than the spot welds. cheaper with labor for a collision shop to use, but more expensive for an OEM.

i almost bought a panel flange tool to use on my FIL's Ram. flange one side, panel adhesive, skim coat, sand, paint. i've also seen ppl use the adhesive to glue on a flange from the back before the new panel from the front to still get flush panels from a butt fit. would have taken longer than what i did though, and the truck wasn't a restoration project.

Nope not yet. It’s a steep asking price. If it doesn’t sell fairly soon we are thinking about putting it on bring a trailer.

I think if I could get a straight white fender for the right side it would help with that last little bit of imperfection there. There was one listed here in Philly for $35. I was gonna get it and figured how to check it as luggage safely but that’s a no go since apparently it was gone.

Thanks. I just wish it were my money(sorta). Really because of all the divorce stuff I didn’t spend any money on this one and just helped my dad out on it, so this one is his win.

I’m going to keep an eye out for a project for me at some point, but I won’t bother until the divorce is finalized.

Ah, werd...keeping it super legit. Well, the old man is giving ya a hand, he'll take care of ya.

That newest one you bought should be a sweet one, a nice buy w/ little to do, bigger margin, I'd imagine.

Good luck man, hope that D is finalized soon, don't deserve that BS!

Spotted in the wild down in my neck of the woods. Parked in front of a smoker friendly... And saw the guy light up a cigarette as he drove away... So it's probably smelly by now.
