got them in this morning, little pricey at the auto parts place but i knew i wasnt going to let my tires wear as fast as they did on my last set...

i am going to get them on when its not raining here so i guess i will just have to pull it into the garage for the evening... and get them on...

i have the pickle fork, and the 3 prong seperater.... i have looked up that getting the ends off maybe a little tricky so i might post some ASAP posts later tonite...

cant wait to get this done!

Nice. If you don't want your tires to wear out too fast, have it professionally aligned after you throw it all together.

asked that at a local tire dealer.... 60 bucks! what about doing it myself? (tape measure)

i might go ahead and get it done at a shop since i want to have it correct the first time and then from there i might do it myself...since i have done some looking on the net and it doesnt look to hard to go about doing it at the house....

Firestone would not put a lifetime alignment on mine!
It scared them!

how much more beefier would the moog ends be to upgrade to the grand cherokee

all i was getting was the 3 ends and the drag link since the pass side end is in the link...not a seperate tie rod end...

if i was to upgrade i would have to get new tie rod right?

but tomorrows project is getting this one and then heading to have it aligned...

If you plan to run offroad, upgrade now, you will thank yourself if you ever bend that small, weak piece of crap that Jeep calls a tie rod, it is hollow
,ZJ's solid! And Much larger!
I did the whole conversion for around a hundred bones! Cheap insurance if you ask me.

so should i just pay for a new tie rod or save a few bucks and go to the local junkyard.. like i went to today already for something else....

i remember reading off the net that the ZJ's have the solid tie rod like u said.... so i think i will do just that.. since it is cheap insurance that it won't bend as easily. There going to love it when i take these back and ask to them to get me the other....

only bad thing is that how much MONKEY boy did u pay for each of the ends when u got them? they sold me them for around 26 bucks for the MOOG's and that was a rip off unless thats really how much they are worth...

thanks man

They are worth it! Trust me. I got lifetime warranty with mine. I gave about the same for mine, O'rielly's is where I bought everything.

Hell if you want a tie rod that won't bend go buy one from Jetoffroad.com . I bought one from him about 2 months ago and finally got it on with the new tires. And well i basically got stuck on the front and rear difs and the tie rod just dug down into the mud and bent but when I was finally jerked out it was straight as ever.

I think its like bigboys toys offroad parts or soemthing. I'm not sure.

now its just that i need to get one stinking lug nut off that is striped pretty dang good.... will try a 18mm socket to see if that will break the sucker loose

then as soon as that gets done ..... hopefully things with the install of the new ends will go well.....
