The one I'm working on may very well end up being larger...11 minutes 10 seconds altogether as a rough cut. I'll have to see how small I can make the file size and have it still be legible, because right now it's at 178 mb.

JayDee - yours is DL'ing now, comments later.

I put a higher quality video up. It's about 147MB but it's FULL quality. Download this one if you have 15 minutes to spare.

Sorry dial-up!

Nice editing job, looks like a fun time. Coupla questions though...

Is JC ever gonna paint that bumper o his?

You guys ever run rocks, or just sand paths that are worn out funny?

If BFG AT's and MT/R's are the best tires ever, how come none of you fags made it up over that one lil ledge? My swampers woulda owned that shiz...

If I'm ever able to come out and visit your general area, or passing through, I'd still like to wheel with y'all sometime.

JC just got the bumper mounted. Hasn't had time to paint.

Our rocks are in Disney, OK. This was our first time to Gilmer, TX.

No ****... your swampers would have done better.
But you see, there's no way I would have driven 1400 miles this weekend on TSLs.

I don't mind the TSL's on the road at all, I've prolly put over 4000 miles on 'em since the beginning of June...

And you know I'm just givin ya crap, still looks like some damn fun terrain and I know y'all have done rocks before.

But a serious question...are you planning on running limiting straps in the front eventually?

Apparently that adds a LOT to the situation! I'm going to run some straps from the top to bottom of the shock mounts and then hook up a center strap to connect if I'm doing stuff that would make the front end get really light.

Did you get any weird effects as far as steering, braking, driveshaft angle etc with the front wrists free?

I'm lookin into that setup pretty heavily, I'm about to start a SFA conversion on my buddy's bronco and we've got an HP44 w/radius arms to work with.

I know you're just joking around, but there really aren't many "rocks" to be found in TX, at least not like what you'd find out West or even the types of terrain in Tellico. There's only two trails in Gilmer that have "real" rocks, other than the Rock Garden that TMTC setup there (but the Garden gets pretty overgrown with weeds and scrub brush during the summer). The trails in Gilmer are all about flex, traction (loose sandy/rocky soil) and puckering up in offcamber spots. To see more of BMRA's terrain, look through the albums at http://jeepin.com/gilmer

The rest was just screwing around and doing the same obstacles a few times.

Oh well! I put 1400 miles on my ZJ this weekend and it didn't break or explode. I'm content.

Yeah I know, trust me, I love running that stuff just as much as I do rocks and such.

'Bout the only thing I don't really like at all is mud and water.

Yeah I avoid mud if possible. I was really happy when we showed up and the whole place wasn't a mud pit.

yeah, there's only a few places at BMRA where you run into any mud (or water), and even then it's not even axle-deep (if you're running 35's).

Yeah but it just looked like the place would turn into a big mud pie with just a short rain shower!

As dry as the ground is out there, and as permeable as the rock substrate is, water doesn't stick around for very long at all, surprisingly enough. Plus with all the hills, water doesn't get much chance to sit for very long, it all runs off the mountain. There's really only 3, maybe 4 trails that will have muddy spots.

This was March of this year, and that's the "muddiest" I've seen BMRA since Easter 2002.

Buy ha ha ha who buy's software these days. Just find someone with a pirated copy. I don't happen to know anyone with. But another option is, apple (along with other companies) generally offer software like that at a highly discounted price for students. But I agree iMovie does work just fine, I really like it.

There isn't a "student" version of FCP. They offer semester licenses, which is still expensive.

I'm sticking with iMovie. It's free, and it kicks ***.

It ain't my server...that be the PhatServer on the left coast.

I uploaded to it at 1.2 Mbps, worked fine last night. He's running a fiber line out there so either I managed to swamp it with DL's or something is messed up with his ISP.

Harold - just on principle, at this spot where I would have needed a locker, I would have just sat there and dug it out so you couldn't make it with your AT's.

It's all my fault. He was supposed to naval jelly it Monday evening, pressure wash it Tuesday evening, and paint it Wednesday evening, but I had a little "incident" and he had to take care of me instead. Who needs paint anyways!!! Sorry sweetie.
Gilmer was fun. I would've liked to have stayed longer, wheeled some creek crossings, and wheeled a little myself, but that's ok. I'll be ready next time and for Rocktoberfest!

</font>
Why don't you guys bring the bumper here and I'll let you use the air sander on it to get everything smooth, then put some naval jelly on it to remove any oils or anything left behind, then paint it up. I'm about to pull my rear bumper again sometime soon (weeks... months... duno) and do some modifications to it.

</font>
Yeah we were really on EVERYONE's schedule... Harold wanted to get home before dark, Melissa was getting sick, JC's lack of A/C didn't help.

Hopefully we'll make up for lost time at Rocktoberfest. And BTW... I'm still looking for 36-37" tires on 5-5.5 wheels to borrow for that event. I guess I'll ask at the next RC4x4 meeting on Thursday.
